| This easy going couple, owners Pat and Kathy, have been "serious" boaters for over 25 years. In residence when guests are aboard, they enjoy sharing Steel Aweigh with guests, boaters and non-boaters alike. The location is superb with easy walking to many downtown Tacoma sites and events, as well as short driving distances to SeaTac airport, shopping malls, national parks and other scenic sites. Kathy once traveled the entire state and can share many out-of-the-way experiences for guests who are interested in "getting off the beaten path." She also enjoys helping guests identify birds that visit the waterway, and there is a wonderful view of the Peregrin Falcons that make the 11th Street Bridge their home. Pat enjoys sharing the history of Steel Aweigh and the challenges of what it takes to be "a captain." Both are eager to share "boating knowledge" with anyone interested in what it takes to own a boat. Guests who book two or more consecutive nights may request their popular "So You Want to Own a Boat" workshop as a courtesy part of their stay. |

| We chose the anchor as our theme because it signifies safe arrival in boater lore. |
